There are two musical groups made up with members and friends of the congregation. Both groups welcome new people to add to their practices and performances. Click on the Choir and Bell Choir page links below to find out more.
Special Music is made up of talented, invited performers, sometimes members of the congregation. Appearing occasionally throughout the year, but almost every Sunday during the summer months (when choir is on hiatus), these folks sing, or play instruments including violin, guitar, trumpet, harmonica, piano or church organ. We so appreciate them whenever they are "on stage"!

Coloma United Methodist Church
Our much loved director Sally Williams has retired! That means we are looking for a new choir director. Diane Hogue has stepped up to act as director, at least until fall 2017. Contact the church office at 269-468-6062 during normal business hours, or use the Contact Us form available on the upper right corner of every page on this website, if you are interested in submitting an application.
Music. Johannes Sebastian Bach spoke of his passion for music as a need to praise the Lord. We love to express love of God through our music.
Who? That music may be heard through our choir performing, special music from special guests in worship or in summer gazebo concerts.
Instruments? You may hear harmonica, Spanish guitar, violin, trumpet, banjo, bells, piano, or even the church organ played by talented musicians. And lets not forget those wonderful bagpipes!
Style? The variety of music styles runs from Charles Wesley hymns of the 1800's to blue grass standards to folk songs to more modern praise songs. Praise and pray through music!
Where? There's Sunday morning worship, summer concerts in the gazebo, impromptu performances at pot luck dinners and other special events, concerts in the sanctuary and in places in the general Watervliet/Coloma area. During summer months you can find us at the Hagar Shore beach on Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m.. You can plan on music being part of the agenda, wherever we meet.
