Our next time to serve at the Soup Kitchen will be on Saturday, September 15th, 2018. This is a change in the regular schedule for us, due to other commitments. There will be a sign-up sheet (for volunteers to work and to bring food) on the bulletin board in the hallway between the offices.
Many thanks for the help in providing food or working at the Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen. Our church has been a reliable partner for over 25 years. We served 98 people in July, and even had enough to enjoy the lunch ourselves! - Bonny Kulick
Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen and Coloma Senior Center Soup/Supper
Coloma United Methodist Church provides food and staff to the Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen on the 2nd Saturday of the month six times annually. Beginning in 2018, the National Honor Society of Coloma became a partner with us in serving those months!
Volunteers are always needed to both prepare (cook) and to serve the food on the appointed Saturday.
If you would be interested in the opportunity to serve, watch the church Calendar (on this website), the Communicator newsletter, worship bulletins, or Facebook for the next opportunity. You must be at least 15 years of age to serve, based on government regulations.
Bonny Kulick, Coordinator says: "Thanks for your ongoing support of this mission. There are 41 other churches who regularly serve there, plus 9 other school or civic groups. If you haven't done this before, we'd love to have you participate!
